Overview

The Department of Information Technology, established in 2018, is committed to delivering high-quality, technical education to shape the next generation of tech professionals and software engineers. The department focuses on keeping students abreast of the latest developments in the field, while also fostering the skills, confidence, and resilience necessary to meet future challenges. Led by Mr.D.Jayanth, M.Sc (IT), M.Phil., MBA, who brings over 15 years of experience in teaching and research, the department consists of 8 dedicated faculty members. With a student body of 250, the department emphasizes placement preparation, encouraging students to actively participate in interviews with various companies, even after securing initial placements.

The ITAC (Information Technology Association) of the department was inaugurated by distinguished personalities to organize national seminars, state-level technical symposiums, workshops, and guest lectures. These events aim to enhance students' knowledge and provide a platform for showcasing their talents and interests across various domains. Students are engaged in case studies, classroom instruction, ICT-enabled learning, group discussions, live projects, guest lectures, and job-oriented training to develop problem-solving skills and prepare for global competition. The association’s activities align with its mission to equip students for successful careers or entrepreneurship.

The vision of the department is to produce technologically competent and ethically responsible graduates through balanced and dynamic curriculum, to take up creative research in collaboration with industries and professional societies, to empower the nation and to produce dynamic graduates with personal and professional responsibilities and commitment to lifelong learning.

This Department recommends implements and maintains Information Technologies and the further goals of the University. To achieve the global standards in quality of Education, Research and Development in Information Technology it adapts the rapid technological advancement.
