It was Established in 1995, the Department of English initially offered a General English course to support all affiliated programs at the institution. Recognizing the increasing importance of specialized English education, the department expanded its offerings over the years. The English Literary Association (ELA) serves as a vibrant platform for students to celebrate and explore the richness of English literature. As a club, the ELA promotes a deep appreciation for literary works while providing a space for students to hone their literary, aesthetic, and communication skills.
The English Language Club is an integral part of our department's efforts to provide students with a lively and engaging environment to practice and refine their English language skills. Beyond traditional learning methods, the club offers a dynamic space for students to engage with the language through fun and interactive activities, thereby enhancing their social and communication skills.
The club fosters a sense of community by encouraging students to work collaboratively, building interpersonal relationships while improving their English proficiency. Activities such as watching English movies, participating in language games, and staging dramas not only make learning enjoyable but also motivate students to continue their linguistic journey.
Through these clubs, the Department of English fosters a culture of learning that extends beyond the classroom, ensuring that students not only become proficient in English but also develop a lifelong passion for language and literature.
